A SIMPLE PROCESS

Bring along the containers you choose and we will refill it with good stuff. But if you have none with you, we will sell you a reusable one and either pay you back when you will return it, or simply refill it, in your next visit !

LIQUIDS FIRST

Starting with number one waste generator, the liquid products that are sold in a single usage bottle. Very few brands and shops offered a good commercial solution to refill bottles with all kind of liquids. That's why we will make this issue our priority.


ECONOMICAL

  • To reach quality products in reasonable prices achieved through the elimination of the packaging costs*.
  • To acquire positive habits before the authorities will form an official taxation system for household waste
  • To support local agriculture and distribution, therefore to support regional employment.

* We pay double: while purchasing and when the waste is being collected, disposed or recycled.

ECOLOGICAL

  • 90% of the household waste is packaging, most of it ends up in the incinerators, landfill or in the oceans*. As for sorting and recycling, this process is insufficient, expensive and energy consuming
  • To improve our quality of life and preserve the environment. The best solution is not to create a problem. So instead of wasting time, money and energy on developing solutions for eliminating waste why not reduce it by reusing existing packages as much as possible ?

Most products are being purchased from regional producers with an extension of products that are either inaccessible here, or a specialty that became part of our local gastronomy and can't be found within our close neighborhood. These are being chosen because of their quality, with or without the bio label



FROM EXPERIENCE

Nathalie Boudé, was already the founder of the NGO  2L Léger&Local, that deals with waste reduction since 2010. She is now creating the BAR À VRAC in order to give directly to customers the expertise, knowledge, and solutions, she acquired in the last five years, as well as counseling  professionals.

Le BAR À  VRAC will be opened in the center of Marseille soon.

In BAR À VRAC, you would be able to speak French, English and Spanish. In addition , we will invite any representative of any other language used in Marseille, for a friendly moments and informal learning over a good glass of wine.


DRAFT BEERS & SODAS ON THE COUNTER


THE FIRST GROWLER STATION IN FRANCE

A « growler », is a solid bottle designed to be reused and refilled with fresh draft beer to take away,

Growlers are being used by the English, American, Australian, Irish and even the German. So the term "Growler station" describe a bar, wine cellar, or a grocery store where you can refill your bottle (growler)

This practice is pretty common in Russia as well as several other countries in the east

The BAR À VRAC will import them and set them up for you, with either beers or sodas from the region.
